Ratcliffe Park in the City of Fairfax has lots of grass for the kids to run around and several pieces of play equipment for the kids to climb on. The park also includes picnic pavilion, multi-purpose field, baseball field, and basketballs courts.
The playground area has two large pieces of play equipment, one for the older crowd and one for the preschool crowd. Both types of swings are available along with a sandbox filled with donated sand toys. The sand box was fun for the boys and I was able to sit on the edge to help out if needed. The picnic pavilion is located right next to the play area and large tree sits over the school-aged play equipment for shade. There are no restrooms at the park but public restrooms are just a short ride away. Parking is available along the street with plenty of pull off space to get out of the road.
The kiddos had a great time at the park. They both were able to play at their own skill level and I was able to watch both kids easily. If you live in the Maple Hill neighborhood or surrounding communities swing on by this great park in the City of Fairfax.
