Freedom Hill Park in Tyson’s Corner is a small Fairfax County park that offers a small playground with plenty of shade all around. The park gets its name from Fort Freedom Hill, a fortfied position during the Civil War located around the park.
It was a pretty soggy day when we headed to the park but the kids still had a good time playing on the equipment and on the swings. This is a nice neighborhood park that can be walked to from the surrounding homes and townhomes. The park only has one piece of school-aged play equipment, both types of swings, picnic table and bench. No restrooms at this park but you’re right around the corner from a gas station and a McDonalds. The park has plenty of shade during the hot days and can be a little buggy since it sits back in a wooded area.
This is a nice little park in the Vienna area that does the trick when you just want your kids to run around a little. If you live in the Vienna/Tyson’s Corner area, check out Freedom Hill Park!
