Today we checked out a very cute park in the Town of Hamilton, VA. Hamilton Community Park is located off of Colonial Hwy and South Rogers Street. A sign marks where the park entrance is and you drive down a small gravel road to the park.
I wasn’t sure what to expect as I traveled down the small gravel road. I was pleasantly surprised to see a small gravel “sandbox” with over 25 retired toy dump trucks under the shade of large tree. There were two different large pieces of equipment, two sets of swings sets with both regular and toddler swings, small zip line and tire obstacle course. Along with all that was a train shape tunnel and walking beam.
The park has plenty of shade, benches and picnic pavilion. The pavilion can be reserved through the town website. In addition to the playground, there is a large grassy area and horseshoe pits. A porta potty was set up by the parking lot and was very clean when we were there. My kids didn’t want to leave this park because there was just so much to do! If you live in Western Loudoun County I would definitely check this park out!
